Miscrits is an expansive and adventurous RPG; the first social game created for Facebook with dynamic PVP gameplay. From user interface, branding, level design and eventually Art Direction; I had many tasks during this game's build while always innovating and improving the overall presence.
Creating the UI was my first task for Miscrits: Sunfall Kingdom. I captured the mischievous essence of the game with a colorful pallet, a playful font choice, and lively shapes. When the demographic started to shift towards a more masculine and mature audience, I was able to adapt quickly and update the UI. I stayed conscious of "interface shock" throughout, but did not let it interfere with creating a stunning and efficient new user interface and user experience.
When the conception phase of the game's expansion, Miscrits: Volcano Island, began; I took on the role of Art Director with my main initiative to evolve the entire art style to appeal to the new demo. I worked collaboratively with my art team in designing and upgrading the characters, environment assets, and level design. Not only did I have my hands full with this extensive job, but I was also managing an additional art team in the development of a completely new title.
